| 1 | Peel the sweet potatoes and cut them into thick, diagonal slices. Slice the onion thinly lengthwise. | 
| 2 | Place the dashi (broth) and onion in a pot and bring to a boil. Add the sweet potatoes and simmer. | 
| 3 | Once tender, stir in the miso. |
