Procedure
1 | Coat the fish with flour. |
2 | Heat oil to 170°C(340°F) and deep-fry fish for 7 minutes (if using raw fish, deep-fry at 170°C (340°F)for 3-5 minutes). |
3 | Put water, mirin, sugar, soy sauce and sake in a separate pot and heat over low heat to a boil. |
4 | Add the fried fish and coat all with the sauce. |
5 | Put the fish on top of cooked rice and pour the sauce left in the pot on top. Put white sesame seeds and chopped green onions if desired. |
